My Emissions Launches Faster, More Accurate Company Carbon Footprints Built For Food Brands
New platform enables food brands to accurately report their corporate emissions (Scope 1, 2 and 3) faster, cheaper and more accurately than generalist solutions.
Adds to existing Carbon Labelling service, as My Emissions becomes an all-in-one Carbon Accounting Platform for the food industry.
To celebrate the launch, all food brands that sign up in November will receive a 20% discount off their next report.
Win-Win for Food Brands Under Pressure
My Emissions today launches a new service for food companies to calculate their Company Carbon Footprint (covering Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions) and meet their corporate reporting needs.
All reports align with the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard (the leading carbon accounting framework), and follow guidance from Wrap and SBTi. This helps food companies meet their corporate reporting needs, driven by new ESG regulation and customer pressure.
The new service – built by My Emissions’ sustainability and data experts – follows the release of IGD and WRAP’s transition plan for the food sector. It represents an affordable platform food companies can use to both report and reduce their carbon emissions and achieve their Net-Zero goals.
It adds to My Emissions’ existing and award-winning Product Footprinting service.
“Food companies are struggling to report their emissions quickly and accurately, and with so many other pressures they need a solution built just for them. So that’s what we’ve done at My Emissions,” said Matthew Isaacs, My Emissions Co-Founder.
“More rigorous compliance needs, including new Corporate Social Responsibility legislation (such as the UK’s SECR and EU’s CSRD), has focused our efforts on our new Company Carbon Footprint service and means My Emissions is now a truly all-in-one carbon accounting platform for the food industry.”
Extensive Beta Trials with Wahaca, Simply Lunch and RM Curtis
My Emissions has worked with Food-to-Go manufacturer, Simply Lunch, ingredients supplier, RM Curtis and UK restaurant group, Wahaca to develop their Company Carbon Footprint service.
Each company received a full corporate report covering Scope 1, 2 and relevant Scope 3 emissions from a recent financial year. The report can be used to report emissions to customers and set ambitious Net-Zero targets. The reports give actionable insights to help food companies reduce their emissions.
My Emissions has been a key partner in helping us measure and reduce our company-wide carbon footprint, covering all Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
Their granular data on our Scope 3 emissions, derived from our activity-based purchasing data, provided invaluable insights into reduction opportunities.”
“Thanks to this partnership, we can now track our progress towards net zero by 2035 and report our emissions data to key customers with their own sustainability targets.”
– Will Page, Marketing Director, Simply Lunch
