My Emissions’ is delighted that its co-founders Matthew Issacs and Nathan Bottomley have been recognised on this year’s Forbes Magazine 30 Under 30 list.
‘Striving for social and environmental change’
Issacs (28) and Bottomley (28), who met while studying at Cambridge University, founded My Emissions in 2021 and appear on this year’s Forbes Social Impact list “highlighting the young leaders and innovators who are striving for social and environmental change across Europe and the globe”.

Leading Carbon Assessment Platform For The Food Industry
My Emissions, is the leading carbon assessment platform for the food industry and has secured a total $2.4M in funding.
It helps companies from global caterers to FMCG brands quickly and accurately measure Scope 3 emissions of products, menus and across their entire company, giving them actionable insights so they can affordably achieve their Net-Zero goals.
With clients from Selfridges & Co, Just Eat Takeaway, AB World Foods and The Good Eating Company (part of the Sodexo group), My Emissions uses a methodology which aligns with Science-Based Targets Initiative and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol ensuring clients received third party validated data in line with recommended standards.
Innovation Award Winner
My Emissions started as a project during the Covid lockdown and was born as Isaacs and Bottomley started to research how they could reduce their own carbon footprint.
They quickly realised the food industry is responsible for a third of global greenhouse gas emissions so reducing those was one of the best and easiest ways to reduce carbon footprint.
The pair, who met studying at the University of Cambridge, also discovered that while emissions data was available on individual foods, it wasn’t readily accessible to businesses.
Isaacs and Bottomley continued to research the emissions data of foods and built a comprehensive food emissions calculator. The Food Industry started to take notice. Investment swiftly followed.
My Emissions has previously been featured on Sifted’s Start-Ups to Watch as well as the Food Tech 500 and in 2022, won a Young Innovators Award from the UK government.
Matthew Isaacs said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Food companies are under increasing pressure from customers, investors and regulators to reduce their carbon emissions.”
“This recognition alongside our latest successful funding round, gives us the backing we need to expand our team, accelerate our growth, and ultimately give food companies everything they need to reduce emissions and achieve their net-zero targets.”
